This deciduous shrub gets its name the snowball tree from the large green blooms that turn to a bright white during late spring. These large flower balls decorate the tree for a long period making it ideal as a specimen plant or for a boarder. Prune after flowering to maintain a compact shape. Can tolerate wet boggy areas and is frost hardy.
